urban legend

Urban legends are stories that are passed on from generatino to generation and it is very hard to tell if they can be true of not. no one really knows exactly were urbanl egends come from, but they can really come from anywhere even from you. urban legends are passed aroundf rom word of mouth, when you hear a story and tell someone else then they etell someone and on and on that can become an urban legend. there were three urban legends that sparked my intrest.

The first urban legend i read about, was called doll talk. this legend was about a doll that a person found in a store, and it said things like "Islam is the light" and "Satan is king". when teh person found this doll, they go very angry at Fisher Price because they made the doll, and then frisher price said sorry and recalled all the dolls. this legend turned otu to be false, there was no actual doll. this was an urban legend because someone made it up and it proably got passed around and people actually started believing it.


The second urban legend i read was called "Ashley Flores". this legend was about a girl being missing and her mom sending a forward to people through email saying if you pass this on it could help find her daugheter. this legend is false because there is no girl missing with the name Ashley Flores and there is no actual girl named ashley flores. This is an urban legend because it could have started out as a joke
or a prank then it led to a lot of people sending it out and to many people.

The last urban legend i read was about a guy who died on a train crash but after he died, his phone was still calling memebers of his family. him calling them gave his family some sort of hope that he was still alive, but he was actually dead. this urban legend turned out to be true. this is a urban legend because it could of not happened this way, the story could of been passed around and altered or changed the story and it could of happended in a diffrent way.

As you can see, urban legends can from in many diffrent ways. they can start from anyone just making something up, and passing it around.

Media anaylsis

Media analysis made me realize that Violence in the media can hurt alot of people. it can hurt kids from ages 1-100. everyone gets hurt by all kinda of media violence.
